These old wives’ tales can help you predict the gender of your baby. Even if you are waiting until your baby is born to find out the gender with this information you can guess what gender you’re having.

Sweet vs Salty

If you find yourself craving for all things sweet then you’re having a girl, but if you’re craving salty food like chips, popcorn, and pickles then you’re having a boy. 

Morning Sickness 

If you’re nauseous in the morning then you’re having a girl, but if you didn’t experience morning sickness it might be a boy. 

Pregnancy Glow

If your skin is glowing then you’re having a boy, but if you have bad acne like during teenage years your baby girl is stealing your beauty. 

Partner’s Weight Gain 

Is your partner gaining weight alongside you? This is called sympathy weight and can be a sign you’re carrying a baby girl. 

Moody vs Mellow

If you are moodier than usual expect a girl! If you’re chill and laidback then you’re having a boy. 

Carrying High vs Low

If you are carrying high then it’s a girl, but if you are carrying low you’re having a boy. 

Bumpshape

If you are carrying your weight all out front and it kinda looks like a basketball, expect a boy! If you are carrying your weight more in your hips, waist, and rear, then you’re having a girl!

The Ring Test

You’ll need your wedding ring for this one. Take your ring and tie it onto a string, then put it over your belly. If the ring starts swinging side to side, (in a straight line) it’s a boy! If the ring starts going round in a circular motion it’s a girl! 

Heart Rate 

If the baby’s heart rate is under 140 beats per minute, you’re having a boy. If it’s faster than 140 beats per minute, it’s a girl!  

Body Temperature 

Have you been feeling cold and icy? Expect a boy! If you’re hot and sweaty it’s a girl! 

Clumsy or Graceful 

Have you been tripping over yourself and are clumsier than you remember then expect a boy, but if you’re gliding through the day expect a girl! 

Soft or Dry Hands 

If your hands are dry during pregnancy you might be having a boy but if they’re soft then expect a girl! 

Sleep Position 

Do you prefer to sleep on your left side, if yes you’re having a boy but if you prefer to sleep on your right it’s a girl!
